This Fried Gram Laddoo or Putani Laddoo needs very few ingredients and needs no cooking. Finely ground fried gram is thoroughly mixed with powdered sugar and ghee to make these melt-in-mouth laddoos.
Ingredients:
Fried Gram (Putani Dal) –Â 4 cups
Sugar – 2 cups
Ghee – 1 3/4 cups
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Method:
- Make fine powder of fried gram and sugar separately.
- Melt ghee.
- Take fried gram powder, sugar powder and cardamom powder in a large mixing bowl.
- Add ghee.
- Mix it for nearly 30mins. The more you mix, the softer the laddoos will be.
- Take lemon sized portion of the mix and roll each portion between your palms and make roundels.
- Store in an air tight container.
