Baked Apple Delight is an easy dessert that is prepared by layering apple slices, brown sugar, paneer mixture and then baking it. Once baked drizzle chocolate sauce and sprinkle nuts to serve.
Ingredients:
Apples – 2 medium
Paneer – 400gms
Sugar, powdered – 3 tbsps
Brown Sugar – 4 tbsps
Keora/Kewra Essence – 1 tsp
Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Cashew nuts, chopped – 1/4 cup
For topping:
Chocolate Sauce – 2 tbsps (optional)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C/350 F.
- Grate paneer and pulse it twice in a blender. Keep aside.
- Halve and core the apples. Slice them thinly.
- Take paneer, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, keora essence and baking powder in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly so that the baking powder blends well.
- Arrange half the apple slices in a baking tin to form a bottom layer.
- Sprinkle 2 tbsps of brown sugar evenly on the apple layer.
- Now spread the paneer mixture evenly on the brown sugar layer.
- Arrange the apple slices through the edges of the baking tin, on top of paneer mixture.
- Line the remaining brown sugar through the edges of apple slices.
- Bake for around 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle chopped cashew nuts on top.
- Serve topped with chocolate sauce.
