Masala Dosa is the world famous dosa from Karnataka. This dosa is prepared using rice and black gram lentil batter and stuffed with Potato Onion Bhaji. Masala Dosa is served with coconut chutney.
Ingredients:
Rice – 2 cups
Black Gram – 1 cup
Bengal Gram – 1/2 cup
Fenugreek seeds – 1 tbsp
Rice Flakes – 1/2 cup, soaked in water
Salt to taste
Method:
- Soak rice, black gram, fenugreek seeds and bengal gram in water for 4hrs.
- Grind them together into smooth batter.
- Add soaked poha and salt. Grind until it well combined.
- Let the ferment overnight.
- On a preheated griddle, sprinkle some water and then spread dosa.
- Spread some ghee on top of dosa. Set the flame to medium. Do not reverse the dosa.
- When the dosa gets roasted, smear some spicy chutney all over the dosa and place some potato-onion bhaji in the centre of the dosa. Fold it at the centre and serve hot with coconut chutney.
