Godhi Rotti is a signature dish of my family. It is a flat roti prepared using whole what grains, ginger and green chilis. Very nutritious and delicious, this rotti tastes great with coconut chutney.
Ingredients:Whole Wheat Grains – 2 cups
Green Chilis – 4
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Water – 3 cups or more
Salt to taste.

Method:
- Soak whole wheat grains in water for 4hrs.
- Grind it with green chilis, ginger, salt and water into a coarse batter. Add enough water so that the batter is neither too thick not runny. This batter should never ferment.
- On a preheated griddle, place some dough and spread it evenly pressing it gently.
- Keep the roti on the griddle covered. When the roti looks almost cooked, the color changes.
- Now drizzle some ghee on the roti and reverse the side and roast little bit. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
