Kakdi Raita is the most widely prepared raita in India. It is prepared using cucumber, onion, green chili and yogurt with various flavors by preference. This raita has a mild favor and goes well with any flavored rice, parathas etc.,
Ingredients:
Cucumber – 1, peeled and chopped
Onion – 1, peeled and chopped
Tomato – 1, chopped, optional
Green Chillies – 3
Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp, chopped
Curd – 2 cups
Cumin seeds powder – 1/2 tsp, roasted and powdered
Salt to taste
Method:
- In a bowl beat curd well until there are no lumps.
- Add cucumber, onion, tomato, coriander leaves, green chillies, cumin powder and salt.
- Add 1/2 cup water and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
