This Bhendi Fry is one of the easiest and quickest dish you can make with Bhendi or Ladies Fingers. This vegeatble dish goes well roti, phulka, chapati or plain white rice.
Ingredients:
Ladies Finger(Bhendi) – 15
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves – 8
Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 3 tbsps
Method:
- Wash ladies finger and wipe them dry with a clean towel.
- Cut them into 1 inch long pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
- Add ladies finger pieces and cook covered on low flame.
- Once the ladies finger pieces are cooked(do not over cook), add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and coriander powder.
- Mix well.
- Serve hot.
