This Broccoli Stir-Fry is quick and easy to prepare and goes well with roti, phulka and chapati.
Ingredients:
Broccoli – 500 gms
Sesame/Til Seeds – 1 tbsp
Olive Oil – 2 tbsps
Ginger, minced – 1 tbsp
Garlic, minced – 1 tbsp
Peppercorns, crushed – 1 tsp
Soya Sauce – 2 tsps
Salt – a pinch
Method:
- Wash broccoli thoroughly and cut the florets into bite sized pieces. Strain out all the excess water.
- Heat a pan, dry roast sesame seeds until slightly brown. Transfer the sesame seeds into a bowl and keep aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan.
- Add minced ginger and garlic. Saute for 2 minutes to get rid of the raw smell.
- Now add broccoli pieces. Mix well and cook covered for 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle 2-3 tbsps of water, mix well and continue to cook until broccoli pieces are soft but firm and hold shape; must be al dente.
- Add soya sauce, salt and crushed peppercorns. Saute well.
- Sprinkle the roasted sesame seeds. Mix well. Turn off the heat.
- Serve hot.
