Kokum Juice is a delicious and healthy juice that has a lot a ayurvedic health benefits. This Kokum Juice recipe from the land of Mangalore, uses fresh kokum fruits making the juice more fragrant and tastier. This is the tastiest juice I have ever had.
Ingredients:
Kokum(Cocum) – 20
Sugar – 250gms
Water – 2 litres
Method:
- Cut kokum into halves.
- Separate the seeds and rind
- Squeeze the rind in little water and extract all the juice.
- Repeat this 2-3 times.
- In a separate bowl, mix sugar and seeds and squeee out the pulp. This will avoid the seeds from slipping out while squeeing.
- Mix the extracted juice and pulp.
- Add all the remaining water, add sugar and stir till sugar dissolves.
- Serve chilled.
