Onion Coconut Chutney is prepared by blending together raw onion, fresh coconut, tamarind, dry red chili and salt. This chutney needs to be eaten soon after making and goes very well with dosa, idli, paddu.
Ingredients:
Onion, chopped – 2tbsps
Coconut, grated – 1 cup
Tamarind Extract –Â 3/4 tsp
Dry Red Chillies – 7
Salt to taste
Method:
- Grind all the ingredients together with little water.
- (Optional) You can season it with mustard and curry leaves.
- Serve.
