Sweet Potato Chips is popular snack prepared by deep frying thin slices of potato. This makes a great snack for kids and adults.
Ingredients:
Sweet Potatoes – 3
Salt – 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
Oil for deep frying
Method:
- Wash sweet potatoes and wipe them dry with a clean towel.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Using a chips grater, grate the sweet potato directly into the oil.
- Deep fry until they become crisp.
- Remove from oil and put them in a bowl.
- Immediately sprinkle salt and chilli powder mixture.
- Toss well so that the mixture coats well on the chips.
- Repeat the same for all the sweet potatoes.
- Once cooled, store in an air tight container.
